Emmanuel Van der Meulen conceived WE DO MI NO, a domino game made of 28 pine wood pieces made in the Jura and silkscreened in Paris.
The circle, the triangle and the square on the wooden pieces are the universal forms at the centre of the Bauhaus’s teaching and its visual identity. Emmanuel Van der Meulen renewed Vassily Kandinsky’s association of shape and color (blue circle, yellow triangle and red square) and added their complementary colours in logically derived shapes from the three first.
Emmanuel Van der Meulen is a French artist born in 1972, he currently lives and works in Paris.
The WE DO MI NO domino game is a limited edition of 50 copies and his first collaboration with WE DO NOT WORK ALONE.
