For the past ten years Karina Bisch has built a visual narrative recalling the main figures of the 20th century avant-gardes. For the Karinascope umbrella, she made 8 felt pen drawings creating an anthology of the most recurrent patterns in her work. Their visual power literally unfolds at the umbrella’s opening.

Karina Bisch is a French artist born in 1974, she currently lives and works in Paris.

The Karinascope umbrella is her first collaboration with WE DO NOT WORK ALONE.

Description

Karina Bisch a imaginé pour WE DO NOT WORK ALONE une edition d’un parapluie. Depuis une dizaine d’années Karina Bisch construit un récit visuel convoquant les grandes figures des avant-gardes du XXème siècle. Elle a réalisé au feutre les 8 dessins formant une anthologie des motifs récurrents qui traversent son œuvre. Leur évidence plastique se déploie littéralement à l’ouverture du parapluie.

Karina Bisch est une artiste française née en 1974, elle habite et travaille actuellement à Paris.

Le parapluie Karinascope est sa première collaboration avec WE DO NOT WORK ALONE.
